Last year for Christmas I surprised my boys with Pogo Passes. For those of you not familiar with Pogo Passes, you purchase a pass for each member of your family for $38.98 and it gets you into countless events and activities for free for a year! We used our Pogo Passes all year-long, especially during the summer for free fun and quality family time.
Being the anal person I am, I wanted to keep track of how much each activity cost to make sure we were getting a good deal. On Black Friday weekend last year, I paid $249 for our passes for a family of 5, including tax. Check out everything that we did!
Enchanted Island Amusement Park: $100 for 5 all day wristbands
ASU Gymnastics Competition: $44 for 5 tickets
Diamond Backs Game: $110 for 5 tickets
Rattlers Game: $20 for 5 tickets
Two Phoenix Zoo Visits: $179
Sunsplash: $130 for 5 all day passes
Three Phoenix Mercury Games: $416
Fat Cats Glow Golf and Bowling: $83
Airtime Jump: $45 for just the kids
Idea Museum: $36 for 4 people
Urban Jungle: $30 for just the kids
Two KTR Visits: $72 for just the kids
Total of events is $1,265!!! Some events required us to pay money that we normally would not have spent such as parking, bowling shoe rental and special exhibits at the zoo. The total cost of those items was $131. After you subtract the fees paid, the cost of the Pogo Passes, we still saved $885! There were several places we didn’t even get to visit last year such as Skateland, Ice Den, Arizona Zipline and the Phoenix Rock Gym. If your family did all the events on the Pogo Pass the savings would probably be double! Head over to the Pogo Pass website to see if they are available in your city.
*Pogo Pass is running a Black Friday deal through Monday, November 26th, 2018 to get your passes for only $34.98 per person. Click on the link above and use code BLACKFRIDAY during checkout.
